FRIDAY THE 13TH - 05/14/2005

The day has lived up to it's reputation. I took yesterday off, the first day of the last 12 that I didn't work, and this morning I'm headed to the job site in Devon and my rear differential gets about yay --> || <-- close to locking up on me. The thing sounded like a garbage disposal with a tennis ball inside it for about 2 seconds before I immediately pulled off the road. Reminder: this was 6:45 in the morning. Welcome to friday the fuckteenth. I proceed to work for 7 hours and then the concrete truck shows up... 4 hours and 11 cubic yards of disgusting heavy slop later I am done work and roll to Mauro's house for some much needed beers.

Megabitch Kate just so happens to be chilling in his front yard with all my old neighbors. After an hour or so of awkardness with the demon spawn bitch I am forced to pay 80 bucks to have my car towed to dub C. Basically the vast majority of the money I earned in my 11 hour workday today was spent on my 2/3 of a ride home this horrible horrible night. So I might just curl up and die right now if fate decides it so. I will be waking up at 8 o'clock tomorrow, if death doesn't pay me a visit in my sleep, to look for a rear differential. Then off to work saturday afternoon and all sunday to pay for parts/labor.

To all who I havnt spoke to in a while, I'm sorry... life is busy and rather fecalic [adj. as of or like shit]. If anyone out there knows any kindhearted females with good hands that are willing to work the knots out of my back, it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers to the 13th. Fuck

UPDATE ON THE CAR:

The SR5 differential was totally shot, so I hunted for a GTS rear end (Limited Slip differential, disc brakes, and 4.3 final gear ratio as compared to the SR5's 3.9, IMPOSSIBLE to find on the East Coast) until I got totally discouraged and gave up. Then I get a call back from this place called Hammer Used Auto Parts in Conshohocken. For no fee they tracked down 3 GTS rear ends on the East Coast. The closest one was located in Cincinnati. Freight shipped to my driveway, overnight, for $300. Good shit. Cruising in the left lane at 75-80mph on 202 my car now sits between 4 and 5 thousand rpm, and my speedometer lies like a little bitch, but it's an absolutely wonderful thing.
