TURN THE PAGE - 06/07/2006

Graduation is imminent at this point. I had my exit interview at the Art Institute today with the beautiful and friendly Dayna DeFinis, and it felt great. This burden that has been hanging over my shoulders for entirely too long now is about to be released.

My experience with getting through the educational process at the Art Institute has been anything but ordinary. Despite my capabilities, it took me well over 5 years to get a 2 year degree. That fact alone, in some ways, will make my diploma that more satisfying when I finally have it in my hands. The struggle, soul searching, and personal development that has gotten me to this point is, in retrospect, invaluable. I will be the most proud individual to ever receive an 'Associates' degree in any field.

The big question is: 'What's next?' Frankly, I have a pretty good idea, but I am still far from certain. I have seen and experienced things that the average college student would never hope or fear to live through. My list of skills is so far beyond any 'Associate' I have ever met, that I don't have any references to base my dreams on. So, as always, I will follow my own path. Blaze the trail less traveled. This chapter is done, but I'm far from the end of the book. Can't wait to see what is to come though. Time to turn the page...
